First and last time playing soccer together! Bittersweet.

Ok! It’s been awhile, but I’m going to change that. First dinner of summer break!

Then and now: Fourth annual SMOOSE family vacation to Harbor Beach!

Abby celebrated her fourteenth birthday with a weekend packed full of fun: a trip to Kings Island with family and friends, a friends sleepover, volunteering at the League for Animal Welfare, and some cousin swimming time to celebrate Timmy’s birthday. She then rolled right into two weeks of intensive theater camp. Ms. Potts stole the show, in my opinion!

Em was recently in town and commented on how nice our yard looks. Crazy to think back to what it was like when we first bought the house!

We somehow have sixth graders and a ninth grader! Middle school and high school ready!

8th grade recognition ceremony last night! There were some tears, but mostly just feelings of pride for Abby and her accomplishments. Two more official days of school!

Albuquerque here we come! First time flying for these three, but they already look like pros!

First full Albuquerque day: cool and wet so we adventured to Old Town, checked out Explora, Sawmill Market, and the ABQ BioPark Zoo.

Second full day, and we crammed in the adventures! Started with the Sandia Peak Tram, then a hike at Elena Gallegos, followed by another hike along the Rio Grande, ice cream at an eclectic parlor, rock climbing, and then dinner at the infamous El Pinto! Whew!

Santa Fe: best part was definitely walking along Canyon Road and the Santa Fe River

Last full day: Some incredible hiking at El Malpais National Monument

First tournament of the season ended with a second place finish in the gold bracket! Won every game in two sets up until the final!

A new Christmas tradition? We added an experience to our Christmas gifting (dinner at Nada and a Christmas Carol at the Playhouse).
