Mooserific!

Another Spring Break in Savannah! Although the most important thing we did was finally meet the sweet Archie, we also had fun on Tybee and Hilton Head Islands and downtown. The weather was pretty cool, but the girls still happily swam in ocean.

We have a swimmer girl! I love this message she sent John after her meet: “The swim meet was very fun I shaved off 21 seconds in total I won three races but on the Board Eden’s time came up one 1 millisecond before mine and I checked on meet mobile and I was a whole second ahead of her! I beat Abby’s IM time and her 50 free time! I have accomplished my goal, beating Susan in my 50 free. I also got two pins for winning two heats one says don’t count laps make the laps count. The other is really funny and says a day without swimming is like a day just kidding I don’t know.”

A merry Christmas and then a happy new year!

Ready for Christmas Eve! We enjoyed feeling snowed in, and baked lots, and lots of cookies!

10! First birthday party at a venue other than home - so much fun!

First days! Fourth, Seventh, and Library!

Another fun week at Girl Scout camp! Abby graduated from Red to PA!

What an amazing trip to the OBX! We stayed in Salvo, one of the villages in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. We all agreed we couldn’t have picked a better spot. The natural beauty of this place was incredible. I was amazed by the stretches of road where you could experience both the ocean and the sound at once. The waves were intense and the rip tides were terrifying, but beach walks were so nice. We loved collecting shells, hunting ghost crabs, watching the sun rise and set, splashing in the pool, watching Daisy swim, and our many excursions. Tailgating on the vehicle ferry boat ride to Ocracoke was fun. We also enjoyed jet skiing and a dolphin boat cruise from Wanchese. Watching the kite boarders while enjoying dinner at Waterman’s was a fun experience too.

First swim and dive meet of the season! After almost two years of asking if they wanted to register, Gwen and Josie decided to give both swim AND dive a try - on the first day of practice! Started on the second day, and are off to a good start! Josie’s first of many recap messages to John says it all: “Yo yo dis Josie! Swim and Dive are the best thing on earth it was SOOO fun . I was in lane six (the worst lane) and I overlapped everyone in my lane so much! We did a race against the other lanes and we came in second and two kiddos in the same lane said it was fun this time because a girl got us in second place! And at the end coach Brad said I might move up a few lanes next practice! SWIM WAS SOOO FUN!!!” And Abby is having a good season too! Second place in her age category last night for dive and she shaved 8 seconds off her IM!

Twelve! We spent the afternoon at Abby’s favorite place with friends. Her favorite part was riding Orion for the first time, and being able to walk right on due to rain. At the end of the day, she thanked me and said “it really is true that time just flies when you’re having fun.” So true.

Last day of 3rd and 6th grade! Our third graders are actually feeling a little sad and already missing school!

Wow! They’ve come a long way in five years!

Champions!

Club volleyball season wrapped up with the OVR tournament in Columbus. It was some of their best playing of the season: lost one, won two, and made it to the silver bracket. Hopefully, the girls stay in touch! It was definitely a great growth experience for Team Captain Abby!
