At Kroger today, the deli person helping us asked me if the babes would like some cheese. Josie responded with “No! Cookie!”

Tonight was Abby’s first Funastics class (a short-term, fun gymnastics class). If you look closely, you’ll see our Abby (in her black leotard) walking across the balance beam.
Parents were able to watch the class. There were four classes going on simultaneously in this very large room. I didn’t get to hear much, but I could see what was going on. It was a surprising and interesting experience. It was neat watching her instructor show the group of kids (there were seven of them) what they were supposed to do and then watching them try it. Abby remembered what she was shown (like three tasks on various pieces of equipment) and tried it all. It was pretty impressive that she not only remembered what she was shown, but that she tried everything! She didn’t seem shy or uncertain. Afterward, she asked when she got to go back. I think she enjoyed it!

After helping to put away the groceries, Gwen decided to play. Look at that proud face!

The girls were nice to their Papa tonight – no trouble from them while I attended my sister book discussion.

Abby, please read the trucks book to your sisters so I can finish eating my breakfast.

First she scaled “the mountain” and then she climbed a tree.

The girls, especially Gwen, had so much fun playing in the hose today. Gwen loved being sprayed in the face – just like her big sister at this age. I think we might have at least two future swimmers amongst us!

Hallelujah
For the first time, at almost nineteen months old, both Gwen and Josie slept through the night!

Sweet Dreams
“Goodnight, Abby. Sweet dreams!”
“Have sweet papa dreams! Dream you’re flying an airplane, okay?”

Our favorite part is the collective “Awwww” from the audience.

I’m so proud of our Abby! She did a spectacular job at her dance recital tonight.

The KCPL held their annual volunteer appreciation event at the Florence Freedom minor league baseball park. We didn’t watch much of the game, but we still had a really good time. The girls especially enjoyed the kids play area, the cupcakes, and Belle, the mascot. It took some patience and encouragement to get them to interact with her, but after awhile they were fans.
